Frequently Asked Questions
Where are my notes stored?
Notes are stored locally in your browser using localStorage or IndexedDB. They persist between sessions on the same browser and device. Clearing browser data will delete your notes.
Can I access notes on another device?
Not by default. Local storage is device-specific. To use notes across devices, copy and paste content manually or use a synced note service. Quick Note is designed for fast, private, local note-taking.
What formatting is supported?
Quick Note supports rich text formatting including bold, italic, headings, lists, links, and code blocks through a built-in editor. Formatting is stored as HTML or editor-native format.
Is there a note size limit?
Browser local storage typically allows 5-10 MB per origin. This accommodates thousands of notes with rich text. Extremely large notes with embedded images may approach the limit faster.
Are my notes encrypted?
Notes are stored in plain text in browser storage. Anyone with access to your browser profile can read them. Do not store passwords, financial data, or highly sensitive information in Quick Note.
